Bugs in Nautilus
- Nautilus bringt beim Start die Meldung "(nautilus:3923): Eel-CRITICAL **: eel_preferences_get_boolean: assertion `preferences_is_initialized ()' failed" und schließt sich sofort
Bug 598918 - eel_preferences_get_boolean: assertion `preferences_is_initialized ()' failed
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/454234 "The issue is an upstream one" https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME
This bug was fixed in the package nautilus - 1:2.28.3-0ubuntu1
But when logging on as different a user (which was previously created for testing reasons), nautilus worked just fine. Guessing the problem might have a configuration aspect, I removed all nautilus/gnome related settings files from my home folder.
I had to remove the files in .gconf nautilus to get my desktopicons back again.
